Amongst his first responsibilities will be the preparation of a revised version of the current 2020 budget, which will have to account for COVID-19 crisis expenses. Skuza can boast significant professional experience. He first worked for the Finance Ministry in 1997. Later, in 2007 Skuza transferred to the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) to become a member of the bank’s board and then its managing director. In 2017 he moved to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education where he was responsible for financial and budgetary matters. In the Ministry of Finance, Skuza has replaced Tomasz Robaczyński, who in turn was appointed by PM Mateusz Morawiecki, as a member of the BGK’s Board.
